About Mrs. Boynton

I am the 2nd-grade Exceptional Student Education (ESE) & Title I Resource Teacher at Lamarque Elementary in North Port, FL. The 2019-2020 school year is my 5th year at Lamarque. I previously have taught Explorations, a Title I K-5 special which utilized arts integration and other creative methods to be able to provide extraordinary learning experiences to students while supporting classroom teachers in the areas of ELA and Social Studies. I additionally taught 2nd grade and 4th grade at Lamarque. I am married to Mr. Boynton who is a Forest Ranger/Wildland Fire Fighter for the Florida Forestry Service. I also have three sons, William is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, Kenny is a Theatre major and performs regularly at Venice Theatre and at The Sarasota Player and Lex is currently a 6th-grade student at Woodland Middle School.

In addition to Arts Integration, I have a passion for American History, Civics, and Geography. I believe in promoting a growth mindset and assisting students in finding ways to learn and control their behavior choices to find how they can be calm, focused and balanced. I am an Arts Integration Strategy Movers for the Sarasota County School District. As a Strategy Mover, I am committed to being a leader in arts integration where I use research-based strategies to meet the differentiated needs of all students, as well as modeling lessons for other teachers.

I received her B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6) at the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee where I was honored to be named their Fall 2014 Outstanding Graduate. Additionally, I am certified for ESE education K-12 and I hold my ESOL endorsement. My original teaching career path had me wanting to teach Secondary Social Studies. I fell in love though with Lamarque as a parent where my youngest son was attending school and decided that Lamarque Elementary is where I wanted to be! I am so proud to be part of the Lamarque Lion’s family and am honored to be able to work with your student!

Together with your student’s general education classroom teacher, we will make this new style of learning engaging and fun!

Love,

Mrs. Boynton
